Christmas 2024
At Christmas 2024, the AAA Association once again celebrated the festive season with great solidarity, closeness and a spirit of sharing. This year, the traditional Christmas Party took place on December 21st, at the Association Auxílio e Amizade’s own premises, with the aim of creating a more intimate atmosphere and giving the beneficiaries the opportunity to see the space where all the daily work of both volunteers and the technical team takes place.
The change of venue was very well received by the participants, who highlighted the warm and welcoming nature of the celebration. The words of our beneficiaries speak for themselves: “the Christmas party is beautiful every year, but this year it filled my heart”; “I really enjoyed it being at the Association, the space is small, but the party was very welcoming”.
The party featured very special musical moments, led by our volunteer Sónia Santos (vocals) and Guilherme Benedito (guitar), who performed several Christmas songs at the request of the beneficiaries. The little ones were not forgotten either, thanks to the fun choreographic entertainment provided by volunteer Leonor Alcobia. An atmosphere of friendship and warmth surrounded the entire team and strengthened the close relationship already existing with the beneficiaries.
At the end of the party, Christmas presents were given to the children and snack packs were distributed to the participating families. All 39 supported children and young people, aged 0 to 14, received their Christmas presents, and all families registered with the AAA received a Christmas hamper. A total of 14 Christmas snack packs were also distributed and, thanks to a generous donation from Medicare, an additional 80 Christmas hampers were distributed to 63 families.
Making this initiative possible was only achievable thanks to the invaluable collaboration of many. For the Christmas presents, we counted, as usual, on the support of BNP Paribas, our members, volunteers and friends. For the snack packs, the AAA received donations of Bolo-Rei (traditional Portuguese Christmas cake) from El Corte Inglés and from private donors. For the composition of the hampers, we also relied on donations from many volunteers and friends, as well as a donation of codfish from the company Firmar.
Christmas 2024 at the AAA was, once again, an example of generosity, unity and closeness, and we thank everyone who, in any way, contributed to making this season truly special for so many families.
Christmas 2023
At Christmas 2023, the Auxílio e Amizade Association once again celebrated the holiday season with a spirit of solidarity and sharing. This year, we were able to distribute 74 Christmas hampers full of essential products, giving several families a more dignified and heart-warming Christmas. We also organised 40 snacks, creating moments of friendship and unity among all the attendees.
One of the new features this year was the inclusion of a Christmas Nativity Scene, which brought even more symbolism and enchantment to the event, reinforcing the Christmas atmosphere.
This initiative was only possible thanks to the support of ISPA, who kindly provided their own space, and we would like to thank them most sincerely.
To make the Christmas presents a reality, we had the precious collaboration of Daymon, EDP and Pingo Doce, as well as the essential support of our volunteers and friends, who gave their time and effort to make everything a success.
Christmas 2023 at the Association was an example of generosity and unity, and we would like to thank everyone who contributed in some way to making this a special time for so many families.

At Christmas 2022 , the Auxílio e Amizade Association once again celebrated the holiday season with a spirit of solidarity and sharing. This year, we were able to distribute 68 Christmas hampers full of essential products, giving several families a more dignified and heart-warming Christmas. We also organised 28 snacks, creating moments of friendship and unity among all the attendees.
This initiative was only possible thanks to the support of Goethe-Institut, who kindly provided their own space, and we would like to thank them most sincerely.
To make the Christmas presents a reality, we had the precious collaboration of BNP Paribás, a Daymon, a EDP, o Rotaract Lisboa, o Rotary Lisboa, as well as the essential support of our volunteers and friends, who gave their time and effort to make everything a success.
This was undoubtedly a Christmas that showed the true spirit of sharing and co-operation, and for this we thank everyone who contributed to the success of this action.
